Jack Davis Miami, Sports Writer & Dolphins megafan, discusses the Fins decision to activate Linebacker Jaelan Phillips from the Physically Unable to Perform List. Jack Davis reflects on Phillips’ first practice on the field with the team:
In the latest Miami Dolphins news from Jack Davis Miami Sports Writer & Blogger: Jaelan Phillips is back in the game! Due to a 2023 injury, Dolphins Linebacker Jaelan Phillips was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List. For those who might have forgotten, the injury was a tear to the Achilles tendon. But the LB has healed up and he’s back in action now that the team has officially decided to activate him from the Physically Unable to Perform List. Phillips spoke with Sports Illustrated (SI) on the sidelines of the practice field to say that he feels great. The LB is thrilled to be back out on the field with the boys and happy to have his health. Watching from the sidelines, Jack Davis can see that Phillips is certainly getting back into the swing of things. But while it was great to see him back out on the field, it’s only a taste of what’s to come. Even Phillips himself remarked that he “needs more.” That “more” includes time with trainers, coaches and the team as a unit. Only time will tell how the LB performs in the 2024 season. But Davis is certainly ready to cheer on the returning Linebacker, no matter what!
